For one of our renowned clients in the pharmaceutical and life sciences industry, we are looking for a dedicated and qualified Commercial Finance Analyst EMEA (m/f/d) in Basel. Responsibilities
  • Act as the finance business partner for Sales and BU teams to ensure financial compliance and support commercial activities in the region.
  • Support regional and finance objectives to help achieve business strategies.
  • Organize and drive planning and analysis processes, including long-term planning (BSR), annual budget, outlooks, and forecasts for the region.
  • Manage monthly closing and reporting processes, including analysis of pricing, sales performance, margins, and sales adjustments.
  • Coordinate regional cost control for Sales and Business Development.
  • Review accounts receivable and monitor customer payment behaviors.
  • Track and monitor rebates accruals versus expectations in collaboration with sales teams.
  • Lead the monthly risks and opportunities process with Sales teams.
  • Analyze business performance, recommend benchmarks, and identify key risks and opportunities to develop actionable plans.
  • Support commercial financial planning and analysis (FP&A) in collaboration with RBU Finance for the region.
  • Collaborate with sub-regions and serve as a key stakeholder in the S&OP process.
  • Provide recommendations for customer pricing and credit limits, contribute to regional pricing strategies, and manage the approval process with global stakeholders.
  • Share responsibility for CHI financial and management accounting in compliance with IFRS and other accounting standards.
  • Collaborate with Group Finance Management to ensure efficient financial systems and processes.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the RBU Finance head.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably in a fast-paced international environment.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with systems such as SAP BW.
  • Strong understanding of IFRS and other relevant accounting principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to connect dots across sales, marketing, and business development.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with a collaborative mindset.
  • Fluent in both spoken and written English.
