Our client is an international company within the Financial Services sector.
## Job Description ##
This position is key to ensuring smooth operations within a high-pressure environment, supporting users. As the go-to person for technical issues, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the IT infrastructure is reliable and secure, while also contributing to the maintenance and administration of servers (SCCM, VM, AD). Strong communication skills in both **English and French** are required to support a user base.
Key Responsibilities:
* **Provide first and second-level support** to local and global users, ensuring quick resolution of technical issues.
* Support **VIP users** with their unique needs, ensuring minimal downtime and prompt assistance.
* Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to **hardware, software, network connectivity, and peripheral devices**.
* Collaborate with the global IT team to maintain systems and ensure consistent service across locations.
* Assist in the **administration of servers and infrastructure**, including **SCCM, virtual machines (VM), and Active Directory (AD)**.
* Ensure all incidents and service requests are logged, tracked, and resolved in accordance with SLAs.
* Conduct **hardware and software installations, upgrades, and maintenance**.
* Provide guidance and training to users to help them maximize system efficiency.
* Assist with **system administration** tasks as needed and contribute to the continuous improvement of IT processes.
* Participate in on-call support rotations for after-hours assistance, when necessary.
## The Successful Applicant ##
* **Minimum 5 years of experience** in desktop support within the **financial services sector** (banking, trading, etc.).
* Strong expertise in **Level 2 support** with demonstrated problem-solving abilities.
* Experience in **server administration** tasks, including **SCCM, Virtual Machines (VM), Active Directory (AD)**.
* Strong knowledge of **Windows operating systems**, **Office 365**, and other business-critical applications.
* Familiarity with **network protocols**, troubleshooting, and monitoring tools.
* Ability to handle **VIP clients** and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* **Fluency in both English and French** (spoken and written) is mandatory.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
