What you'll do: Generating, testing, and troubleshooting DeltaV and MES automation recipes for the entire facility. Planning, completing, and documenting manufacturing campaigns in the area of microbial fermentation. Leading multi-disciplinary project teams as the Functional Lead for all manufacturing aspects of the assigned products. Completing SHE, EM, operation, and cleaning risk analysis for the assigned products, and implementing and controlling defined measures. Establishing timely and high-quality production documentation specific to the assigned production area. Implementing brand new regulatory requirements in corresponding assets and products. Performing manufacturing activities according to cGMP guidelines, ensuring batch execution, evaluating test results, resolving issues, troubleshooting manufacturing equipment, and making recommendations for resolution. Acting as the production expert in capital investment projects for the building and commissioning of manufacturing units. Main responsibility for delivering all input required for the specific set-up, commissioning, and qualification of the manufacturing suites and equipment, including automation. Implementing relevant GMP documents for the respective area. Training operators for the manufacturing of assigned products. Supporting the Plant Manager and Head of Manufacturing Staff in training and planning tasks. Representing Lonza Manufacturing unit during customer audits and visits. Completing innovation and improvement projects involving general manufacturing aspects for the production plant. Ensuring a high level of technical and process standardization within the production plant. Performing other duties as assigned. What we are looking for: Bachelor-s or Master-s Degree, or equivalent experience. Preferred area of study: Biotechnology, Biochemistry, or related fields. Broad biotechnology expertise and/or knowledge in biotechnical engineering, preferably in the area of microbial fermentation. Proficiency in both German and English is preferred. Strong understanding of GMP. Proven leadership skills; excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all types of interfaces within the organization. Strong team orientation. Structured, focused, and well-organized working attitude; open-minded to new ideas and suggestions. Highly motivated and driven; dedicated to problem-solving.
