Senior Project Management Officer (m/f/d) - limited term

As a PMO (Project Management Office) at the headqurter in Switzerland, you will be responsible for planning, monitoring and managing the company's projects abroad, mainly in Penang. You will ensure that the projects meet the company's requirements and are successfully completed, and therefore be responsible for the following main tasks:

• Manage, plan, execute and control all projects under the program
• Identify, analyze and manage interdependencies between projects
• Define and manage project budgets including cost approvals, collaborating with the group purchasing and controlling teams to optimize cost/benefits of the program
• Collaborate actively with IT and business stakeholders to define, control business application integration projects, and manage changes
• Negotiate and secure resource allocation to projects, proactively optimize resource plan at project and program level
• Manage schedules and milestones for timely delivery and deliverable acceptance
• Assess and manage risks. Identify and solve basic project risks quickly and effectively
• Drive efficiently escalation process
• Create strategies for contingency planning and for risk mitigation.
• Drive cross-functional teams through corrective action process.
• Manage stakeholder efficiently, including external partners and vendors.
• Ensure alignment of program results to company strategy

For this exciting and multi-faceted role, you will need the following:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in civil engineering, manufacturing engineering or related fields.
• Professional program management certification
• At least 10 years of experience as project manager; experience in construction domain, manufacturing ramp up, IT integration projects and working in international companies is strongly desired
• Knowledge of BIM methodology and application is a plus
• Proficient with PM methodologies (especially waterfall and hybrid) PMP certification or similar
• Demonstrated understanding of Malaysian building legal and administrative processes and requirements.
• Significant experience of working methods with the local management of the construction phase with architects, construction company and local authorities
• Willingness to travel frequently between our production sites in Flamatt, Penang and San Jose
• Monthly return to Switzerland to the headquarter
• Good technical knowledge of Swiss, American and Malaysian context, authorizations, and administrative steps for a new building project
