As Otis Elevators' Subcontracting Manager, your role is crucial to ensure the successful management of subcontracted services on our elevator projects.
You will be the owner of the subcontracting process and will develop and supervise the entire subcontracting process, from supplier selection and contract negotiation to quality assurance and safety performance monitoring.
Main responsibilities
Identify and evaluate potential subcontractors, conducting in-depth assessments of their skills, capabilities and performance and safety track records and competencies.
Implement written instructions for the subcontracting process in accordance with internal OTIS CPM17 supply chain rules and OTIS GS110 safety requirements. Legislation and other legal requirements are also part of the job's responsibilities.
Set up a subcontracting tracking tool to keep track of which companies are authorized, for which jobs they are validated, and which certified employees can be hired for a given job.
Negotiate contracts and service level agreements with subcontractors, ensuring compliance with company standards and regulations, set up and monitor the price calculation tool and ensure the price matrix is kept up to date.
Work closely with the EHS department to develop the basic training and annual refresher courses needed to guarantee the safety of teams and the working environment.
Work with internal teams to define project requirements and ensure that subcontractors meet deadlines and deliverables.
Monitor subcontractor performance and resolve any problems or discrepancies to ensure compliance with quality, efficiency and safety standards.
Manage the financial aspects of subcontracting, including budgeting, cost control and invoicing processes.
Be responsible for the EHS assessment of subcontractors and define the necessary corrective actions.
To be the main contact for subcontractors for all organizational matters and assistance in carrying out training.
Qualifications
Engineering degree or experience in a similar field
Proven experience in subcontracting management, preferably in the construction sector
Strong negotiation, contract management and supplier evaluation skills
Knowledge of accident prevention principles and safety regulations is a plus.
Fluency in French, German and English. Other national languages are an asset.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
Knowledge of relevant regulations, standards and laws
