The Operation Finance Manager is an essential team member, with responsibilities including financial planning, analysis and decision support as well as compliance and reporting. The Operation Finance Analyst collaborates very closely with the operations (site finance heads, operations finance head) and platform finance (commercial finance head, platform finance head) to support short- and long-term financial delivery and chips in to the development of strategy with insightful analysis. Operation Finance Manager is expected to operate semi-independently with high level guidance. Takes a leading role to consolidate, analyze, report and present consolidated site financials (monthly closing and outlook) to Operations Leadership with focus on sales to gross profit, FTE/cost and inventory Works as right-hand of Operations Finance Head for relevant planning and analysis processes such as mid-term (Target) and long term planning (BSR) Presents and analyze site performance, variances, recommends benchmarks, highlights key opportunities and risks and works closely with other functions in developing plans to gain opportunities and mitigate risks Partners effectively with other function and drives analysis and decision support in the areas of productivity, innovation, capex projects and cost structure of major contracts Supports planning and analysis of Capex Shares global responsibility for financial and management accounting in accordance with IFRS, the Lonza Finance Accounting Manual (FAM) and other required accounting principles Acts as site finance for two smaller locations in US and Italy Collaborates with Corporate Finance Teams ensuring pioneering financial systems and processes that improve functional efficiency Perform other duties as assigned. Key requirements: BA or equivalent experience or other higher educational qualifications preferred Preferred area of study: Accounting and Finance Expertise in FP&A, business unit finance, operations finance preferred Ability to learn new systems, tools etc very fast and implement reporting enhancements Analytical thinking, problem solving, operates with subject area Every day, Lonza-s products and services have a positive impact on millions of people.
