Le Régent’s Junior School welcomes students from Kindergarten to Grade 5 (ages 4–11) and provides a stimulating and supportive learning environment. We are seeking to appoint an inspiring and motivated Primary / Junior School Teacher starting in August 2025. We are seeking someone with a passion for cultivating a love for learning and who can bring boundless enthusiasm to their teaching. The role involves delivering our English and Maths curriculum, as well as teaching IPC, Phonics, Sport, and Forest School. While experience in these areas is desirable, it is not essential.
The post could be combined with a residential boarding tutor’s position for the right candidate. Applicants should therefore indicate their interest and experience in this possibility.
Principal Requirements
To be a Primary specialist, able to promote a love of learning and create dynamic and engaging lessons
To be an ESL specialist with a proven track record and training in supporting children with English as a Second LanguageTo facilitate learning by establishing a relationship with pupils and creating an effective and stimulating learning environment
To work as part of a team, reviewing and developing the curriculum and producing resources and schemes of work to support learning for the full ability range
To be able teach across the full primary age range
To enhance the quality of teaching and learning in the School through sharing resources and good practice, lesson observations, collaborative teaching, mentoring and active participation in continuing professional development
To contribute to our boarding provision through weekly duties and a contribution to the broader life of the school
To be a native English speaker or have a C2 level of proficiency in English

Le Régent’s Junior School, housed in its own dedicated building, follows the IPC (International Primary Curriculum) and IEYC (International Early Years Curriculum) with significant input from the UK National Curriculum, the school’s own tailor-made programmes and a significant French component. Third-Country Nationals’ Applications (non EU/EFTA)
Third-country nationals should be aware that obtaining a work permit is a lengthy process with stricter regulations for third-country nationals (such as those from the UK) compared to EU/EFTA nationals. While we may consider appointing a third-country national, preference will be given to candidates who hold a Swiss residence permit or an EU/EFTA passport.
