Description
Join our R&D Smart Controls department and play a key role in shaping the future of elevator control systems.
As R&D Control Systems Architect Telecom you will act as technical architect of the controller and telecommunications platform to define and maintain the requirements and technical solution while driving continuous progress through technical development of new components and technologies.
Your new challenges include:
Analyzing system requirements and deriving component-level solutions with a focus on hardware and telecommunication systems by ensuring compliance with industry standards and relevant codes and maintaining product structure.
Defining, documenting, and maintaining the hardware architecture of elevator control systems, including master schematics.
Aligning with cross-functional teams (Architects, System and Software Engineers) on HW-SW functionality and collaborating with production, field support, installation, and maintenance experts to ensure high-quality, fit-for-purpose systems.
Developing and integrating interfaces for subsystems, components, and controller platforms.
Defining requirements for PCBAs, assemblies, harnesses, and sub-components.
Leading quality assurance efforts through Design FMEA, root cause analysis, and cross-functional reviews.
Supporting test and field analysis, documenting corrective actions, and driving continuous improvements.
Identifying technology trends and initiating feasibility studies with project management
You are a proactive and reliable leader with strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills. Your analytical mindset and clear communication enable you to navigate complex technical challenges with precision. You excel at collaboration, influence, and stakeholder management, adapt quickly to new challenges, and take ownership with a structured and results-driven approach.
Further requirements may include:
Master's degree in electrical, telecommunication, network engineering or similar
Proven technical leadership skills
Extensive experience (5-7 years) with design and maintenance of control systems, ideally in telecommunication sector
Excellent knowledge of system engineering methods (modelling, requirements engineering, interface management, analysis)
Proven experience with production processes for electronic and electrical assemblies and procedures for installation and commissioning
Proficient level of English, other languages are a plus
